Think of your Social Media profile photo as your logo. Video tips.

Guy Kawasaki is someone we respect and he has an excellent book called The Art of Social Media that we recommend.  One key point he makes that we particularly like is a way to think of your Social Media profile photo as a logo.

If you think of the Profile photo of a social media company page then the logo will always match across the pages and media channels.  Why?  So that people easily recognize the company they want to follow.  Simple branding core principles.

What is so interesting is that many people forget this when they work with their personal social media – often with a mismatch of profile photos across channels and also giving different messages about the person’s brand.

Watch this short video looking at Guy’s profiles and you can see how effective it is when you have a clear recognizable ”logo” across your social media that makes it easier for your contacts to find you and follow you!
